Risks and Complications
Despite the many advantages of minimally invasive hip surgery, as with any surgery minimally invasive surgery may also be associated with certain risks and complications:
- Infection
- Injury to nerves and blood vessels
- Formation of blood clots in the leg veins
- Fracture of the femur or pelvis
- Problems in wound healing
To avoid complications, it is important to follow your surgeon’s guidelines before and after surgery.
